Is the price of gas interrupting your play time in that great muscle car?
Well you are not alone, everyone is feeling the same way. Now that the weather is nice and everyone wants to get away the gas prices spike way up, this seems to be due to the high demand.
When the muscle car was born the gas prices were what 50 cents a gallon, who would think twice about going to that drag race on Sunday? But now at over four dollars a gallon is seems that everyone is thinking twice about burning down that stripe. Your muscle car may only get 10 mpg and when you have to by the premium gas for optimum engine performance you are looking at almost five dollars for one gallon of gas.
GM’s sales of their ultimate muscle car, the Corvette, are down by just over 18 percent already this year. Is this a sign that we are not willing to pay the gas for our beloved muscle cars?
This all makes us wonder are you still going to all the car shows like you used to. It does not appear to be stopping the die hard muscle car fans. They are coming every Sunday to show off their great cars.
